Check to see if the finish system you’re purchasing is backed by a warranty, as not all finish systems are backed by a factory finish warranty. Many factors that affect the longevity of a factory finish are beyond human control. Some factors that affect your factory finish performance include:
- The proximity of your home to water (lake, pond, ocean, etc….)
- The amount of sun exposure your home receives
- The architectural design of your home
- The maintenance of and design of your water run-off systems
Due to these factors we recommend the following:
5 Year Limited Warranty Semi-Transparent or Semi-Solid Factory Finish
Depending on the above factors, evaluate recoating every 3-4 years.
15 Year Limited Warranty X-9 Solid Color Factory Finish
Depending on the above factors, evaluate recoating every 6 – 8 years.
